A fast-growing independent out of home media owner with headquarters in Liverpool and London has launched a new service that will spread “3D” advertising across the English regions.
OPEN Media’s OPEN Perspective concept will bring the type of ‘forced perspective’ quasi-3D content previously seen at high-profile venues in China, London and New York to a wider range of screens.
OPEN Perspective, which was developed by local marketing agency Agent Marketing, is available across eight screens nationwide, in venues such as Liverpool Central Station, Sheffield’s The Moor, Wakefield, Manchester’s Hotel Football, Boxpark Wembley and Plymouth Drake Circus.
“We’re thrilled to introduce OPEN Perspective, giving brands the opportunity to transform flat 2D space into an amazing 3D illusion,” said Meg Ledger, OPEN Media’s business director. “We’ve been working behind the scenes, testing the technology across our full-motion large-format estate which has been a huge success. We can’t wait to bring clients’ ideas to life, really pushing the boundaries and showcasing creativity in OOH at its finest!”
3D advertisements have been proven to be more effective than traditional static ads, achieving greater levels of recall and recognition. High-profile past examples of 3D content on digital signage include a giant wave on a screen in South Korea, a spaceship emerging from a screen in China, a giant 3D cat on a screen in Japan, a watch spinning at the Picadilly Lights in London, and a back-to-school themed 3D ad in Times Square, New York.
