Lighthouse Technologies already supplies much of Bauer’s indoor LED range, but exclusive UK distribution deal will allow Bauer to offer the Hong Kong-based company’s outdoor product.
Bauer Digital has signed an exclusive UK distribution deal with Hong Kong-based Lighthouse Technologies.
The UK-based company’s BDL range was launched to meet the requirements of the high-end corporate and broadcast 4k market. Its latest indoor product, the BDL Mini, features a cabinet with a 16:9 ratio that is 24mm thick. It has a pixel pitch of 0.9mm to 1.8mm and front-surface serviceability.
Bauer’s BDL mini–LED Series matches colours with CIE standard. It calibrates brightness and colour for the least brightness variance and true colour reproduction from the video source. The Bauer Digital BDL Series provides dual power, signal and control systems to minimise the risk of faulty operation during an event.
Its standard LED and BD range features two cabinet sizes (750mm by 250mm and 1000mm by 250mm), with three or four interchangeable modules. Products have been designed so that when they are upgraded, most of the LED structure remains in place, and only the modules are changed.
Paul Langridge, UK general manager for Bauer Digital, said: “Bauer Digital and Lighthouse Technologies have been working together for several years, with Lighthouse already supplying a lot of the Bauer Digital indoor LED range. Having exclusive access to the Lighthouse Technologies ranges, including its award-winning outdoor LED product, means Bauer Digital can now provide a huge range of super-high-quality products from stock held in the UK.”
Peter Chan, Lighthouse Technologies’ chief executive, said: “For more than 20 years, the UK has been one of our most important markets. Our partnership with Bauer Digital further demonstrates our commitment to bring best-in-class products with holistic services to our UK clients.”
