The company’s Virtual Studio Solution, the first on the market to create a smooth stepless curve, can be seen at IBC in Amsterdam.
INFiLED will be showcasing its new LED Virtual Background, which it claims is the first on the market to use panels to create a smooth stepless curve, at IBC2022.
The latest addition to its Virtual Studio Solution offers a seamless curve due to its curved modules, which is critical for on-camera visuals.
Traditional virtual productions use flat panels to build studio backgrounds, which are interconnected under an angle to create a curve. The lines and shadow that these panels create can be visible on camera. INFiLED’s curved LED Virtual Background improves the viewer experience and shortens costly post-production time. The solution has a pixel pitch of 2.6mm and combines the Flat Virtual Background DB series and Curved Virtual Background XII series.
The Virtual Studio Solution is part of INFiLED’s modular system of LED displays for extended reality and virtual production that can be customised to create all kinds of stages.
The solution comprises INFiLED Flat and Curved Virtual Backgrounds – DB Pro S82.6 and XII2.6 and Virtual Floor – DFII3.9. The 6m x 3m screen, which uses Brompton’s Tessera SX40 + XD controller, features a 1/8 scan rate, high frame rate and ultra-low latency, which ensure high contrast, vivid colours and a cinematic look.
The Virtual Floor – DFII series is the latest generation of interactive LED dance floors, which are designed to carry weights of up to 2500kg/sq m.
INFiLED will also be demonstrating its flagship indoor WP series of 4×4 panels – with a pixel pitch of 1.25mm – on its booth (7.C34) at IBC2022, which takes place in Amsterdam on 9-12 September. The WP series is suited to a range of indoor applications, including broadcast and film studios. The WP LED series cabinets can be flat or curved for a variety of installation requirements, offering a standard 16:9 aspect ratio, a refresh rate of 3840Hz, low latency and 14-bit grayscale. With an ultra-thin edge of 29.5mm, the WP series offers pixel pitches from 0.9mm to 3.1mm. Front maintenance can be performed without disassembling the fixed frame.
