The number of pre-registrations was revealed by Integrated Systems Events managing director Mike Blackman at the opening of the exhibition in Barcelona.
ISE could be set to see almost 50,000 people pass through its doors, according to numbers announced by Integrated Systems Events managing director Mike Blackman at the opening of the show.
As of 7am on the first day, there were 49,389 pre-registrations.
In the last full ISE, held in 2020 which was affected by early fears over Covid and by storms, there were 52,000 visitors to the show. The pre-Covid peak in 2019 was 81,000 visitors.
Blackman also revealed that there would be 844 companies exhibiting from 43 countries, in five halls occupying 48,000 square metres of exhibition space. Fully 105 of these companies were from Spain.
Also attracting attention on the eve of the exhibition was an I Rise projection mapping experience on a curved building in the Plaça d’Espanya by the Fira Montjuïc – sister venue to ISE’s new home, the Fira Gran Vía. The projection mapping was created and produced by Barcelona-based Flaix Studio.
