Seventeen-meter high LED totem wins third award

An LED digital totem, measuring 17 metres high by 9.5 metres wide, boasting more than 25 million pixels of imagery, has won its third award.

The installation by digital art and entertainment studio Necsum Trison at the Max Center in Bilbao, Spain was a winner in the Best Shopping Mall category at the DailyDOOH Gala Awards, held to coincide with New York Digital Signage Week.

The digital art content created for the totem includes images of a waterfall, the titanium slats of the city’s Guggenheim Museum and a 17-metre high digital copy of Michelangelo’s David sculpture which waves to visitors to the centre.

The Max Center totem was also a winner in the Best Installation in a Public Space category at the Global Digital Signage Awards 2021 and won in the Experiential and Immersive category at the Muse Creative Awards 2021.

“This new award granted to the Max Center Shopping Center is a recognition of its determined commitment to offer users a unique experience by introducing innovative elements based on the latest technology,” the retail centre said on its website.
