Visual Art has formed a business unit, LED, to meet a demand for large screen formats, according to a company press release.
The department will focus on the technology around specially built and large screen formats. Roberth Fredriksson, an industry veteran with more than 30 years in the field, will lead production. He will serve as business unit director LED. Fredriksson offered custom-built screen solutions as early as the 80s.
“The demand for custom-built screen solutions has increased over the years and for us it is not good for our margin, but also in many cases easier to solve the technical part directly ourselves. And for the customer, this means that they only need one supplier that can deliver everything from screen to content,” Anders Apelgren, CEO of Visual Art, said in the release.
Visual Art has had plans to build a business unit around specially built LED screens for a long time, but it fell into place when Fredriksson showed interest in leading the establishment, according to the release.
“I have worked as a subcontractor for Visual Art many times over the years, so when I understood that they had the same view of the potential around LED solutions, the choice was to step on easy. It will be a lot of fun to drive this part of the business forward,” Fredriksson, said in the release.
