South Korean singer’s agency, P Nation, expresses its condolences and pledges to help with the funeral costs after a man falls 20m from a lighting tower at the Gangneung Stadium.
A man died at the weekend after falling from a height of almost 20m while dismantling the stage following a Psy concert at the Gangneung Stadium in Gangwon-do, South Korea.
The worker, who was believed to be a Mongolian man in his 20s, was removing a lighting tower that had been used for the South Korean singer’s Summer Swag 2022 concert on July 30.
He was rushed to hospital in a state of cardiac arrest, but passed away, according to a report in NME.
Psy’s agency, P Nation, released a statement saying: “We express our sincerest condolences to the worker who passed away after a sudden accident. We also send our deepest condolences to the surviving family. We will do our best to establish measures to prevent another accident like this from happening, with a sense of responsibility.”
The agency added that it would help to cover the costs of the funeral.
An investigation into the tragedy is being carried out.
