The 4,397.75 sqm projection mapping of the Tropicana Hotel’s Club Tower in Las Vegas promoted the launch of a new edition of the EA Sports Madden NFL game.
A new Guinness World Record for the largest projected video game display has been set with a mapping of the Tropicana Hotel’s Club Tower in Las Vegas, just a year after the previous record was set at the same resort.
A projection surface of 4,397.75 square metres was achieved with the help of a five-foot extension constructed on top of the building and with additional wrapping of the building’s corners.
Game designer Electronic Arts and the National Football League set the new record to promote the NFL Pro Bowl: Madden NFL 22 Edition game.
The record-breaking projection mapping of celebrities and athletes playing the game took place on 1 February, just days before Super Bowl LVI, the highlight of the American football calendar.
The new record was more than 8,000 square feet (or 750 square metres) bigger than the previous world record.
